Parker McCollum Evansville reviews
Worth the trench foot never mind the rain
"We were lucky to win additional tickets from ALT103.9, so we gave our original tickets to my son, who ended up with seats behind the sound techs. Judah & the Lion took the stage right when we arrived, and their amazing energy and sound impressed me. I was pleasantly surprised by their performance as the opening act. Jimmy Eat World followed, and although I wasn't too familiar with them, I was drawn to their music while browsing t-shirts. As the rain poured down, we returned to our lawn seats just in time. Despite the heavy downpour, Jimmy Eat World's powerful performance matched the weather perfectly. We had prepared with ponchos and rain boots, anticipating the weather conditions. The experience left me with mild trench foot, but the crowd didn't seem to mind the rain at all. Parker McCollum's performance was exceptional, sounding just like his albums but with added intensity. This strong and consistent display of great music and art provided comfort amidst recent tragedies. After the losses of two alt-rock icons and a tragic incident at the Ohio state fair, the concert brought a moment of happiness to everyone in attendance. THANK YOU!"
